In advance of Kuali Days VIII in San Antonio, we continue to preview the Kuali Student track. Today: Configuration in Kuali Student and the Kuali Student Data Dictionary.
Kuali Student is a highly configurable application. After an overview of the different layers of configurability, the presentation will take a deep dive into the Data Dictionary. The Kuali Student Dictionary is not your father's data dictionary – it is a sophisticated type-state configuration tool that allows schools to not only tweak the sample Kuali Reference University implementation to meet their needs, but also to define entirely new types of learning experiences. The presentation will describe how the Kuali Student dictionary is different from other dictionary systems, how it fits into the Kuali Student architectural stack, and how it works with the other Kuali Student configuration tools. It will end with a live demonstration of how a business analyst would use the dictionary to define requirements for their institution. This session is at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 17.
