KD8 Preview: Synopsis of the Kuali Student Configurable User Interface Framework

As we get closer to Kuali Days VIII in San Antonio, we continue to preview the Kuali Student track. Today: Synopsis of the KS Configurable User Interface Framework.

Kuali Student leverages Google Web Toolkit (GWT) to provide a rich user interface (UI) that is both modular and configurable. Reusable components are designed such that implementing institutions can easily add or change layouts and functionality, for both specific as well as global functions. The configurable UI framework consists of a set of default implementations for these UI components, as well as an application programming interface (API) for developing your own. In this session, Wil Johnson of Florida State University will give examples of reusable UI components, and how they could be customized by implementing institutions. This session is at 2:15 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 17.
